AKG P220
The AKG P220 is an excellent studio microphone for vocal and instrument recording. It has a balanced and warm sound. Especially singers with thin voices and string instruments benefit from the sound characteristics of the AKG P220 – the recordings sound fuller and warmer.
The cardioid characteristic makes the P220 particularly suitable for recording individual instruments and singers. It isolates the signal source and reduces background noise. But guitar amps and drums can also be picked up thanks to the switchable pre-attenuation.
The AKG P220 handles sound pressure levels up to 155 dB. Disturbing impact sound or low-frequency noises can be effectively suppressed with the switchable bass filter. The all-metal housing makes the AKG P220 particularly robust and it can also be used as a stage microphone.
