Description

Hapi Mk III is an exceptional audio centerpiece that effortlessly adapts to the most demanding scenarios. With its customizable I/O options, it offers unparalleled networked audio solutions, making it the perfect choice for broadcast, live events, and studios. This Swiss-made device is crafted to the highest standards and delivers audio quality that surpasses industry standards.
Compared to its predecessors, Hapi Mk III adds extended AoIP capabilities. In addition to full RAVENNA/AES67 support, Hapi Mk III is Dante Ready.
Hapi Mk III is the foundation of the Merging ecosystem. Its unchanged small form factor of only 1U makes it the ideal rack unit for any application. Two slots for Merging I/O expansion cards allow you to configure Hapi Mk III to your applications. Merging A/D cards feature a unique dual gain topology, with up to 78 dB gain and an impressive dynamic range of up to 136 dB A (mic) / 139 dB A (line). Additionally, premium versions offer even higher specifications and support ultra-high resolution formats DXD, 384 kHz PCM and DSD 256 bitstream. D/A cards feature selectable roll-off filters. D/A trims level (in 0.1 dB increments) and signal polarity can be adjusted for each channel individually to ensure mastering grade precision.

Hapi Mk III connects to…everything!

Next to its network capabilities, Merging Hapi Mk III offers a wide range of connectivity options, which include ADAT, S/PDIF, AES/EBU, Wordclock. Additionally, 2 slots for Merging V3 expansion cards allow up to 16 channels of analog I/O (mic/line) or 128 channels of MADI + SFP. A 64-channel PT64 V3 card for Pro Tools integration will follow in 2025. With the ability to handle an impressive number of 64 streams, 144 input and 146 output channels, the internal router is truly a powerful tool. Therefore, Hapi Mk III is an excellent solution for increasing the channel count of RAVENNA/AES67 interfaces, such as Merging Anubis or Neumann MT 48. Of course, Hapi MK III can also be combined with Neumann’s line of AES67 studio monitors to create stereo and immersive 3D audio setups. With the new Dante option, Hapi Mk III can also be used as the centerpiece or an I/O extension in Dante AoIP environments.
For headphone monitoring, Hapi Mk III features an ultra-low impedance, mastering grade headphone output, conveniently positioned on the front of the unit in both 1/4″ and 1/8″ TRS format.
The sync port on the back of the unit allows synchronization via LTC, MIDI and Video Reference.

Dante®

As a new feature of the Mk III model, Hapi now offers optional support for the Dante standard by Audinate, which is highly popular in the live and installation sector. This option adds compatibility with more than 4000 devices from over 600 manufacturers. Hapi Mk III comes Dante Ready, so users who require Dante can purchase a license from Audinate. Two license models are available, 16×16 I/O and 64×64 I/O. This ensures there are no additional costs for users who do not need Dante.
