With its compact dimensions, the Genelec 8010 is the ideal active monitor for computer workstations, broadcast and OB van use and mobile recordings.The robust die-cast aluminium housing is acoustically optimized. The rounded edges of the housing ensure a precisely balanced stereo image. The drivers are protected by grilles. The two Class-D amplifiers of the Genelec 8010 deliver a clear and neutral sound even at high volumes. The optimized bass reflex tuning enables a surprisingly good bass response for its small size, and the active monitor can be adapted to its installation location using switchable filters. The frequency response is linearized. The IsoPod stand decouples the loudspeaker from the base and allows it to be aligned with the listening position.
There is an automatic switch-on and switch-off function. It can also be deactivated if required. For 2.1 systems, the Genelec 7040 subwoofer offers an extension of the transmission range down to 30 Hz.
