Description

This limited edition guitar started with absolutely beautiful quartersawn American Black Walnut and some beautiful Western Red Cedar soundboards. Larrivee had not built with Cedar for almost 15 years; so these are the first Cedar topped Larrivee in ages. In addition to the wood, there is some very unique trim and purfling’s on these special instruments. Matthew Larrivee hand crafted a unique tri-colour herringbone rosette with tri-colour rope purfling. The herringbone and rope are crafted from all wood (Indian Rosewood, Ovangkol, and Silver oak) to create a gorgeous one-of-a-kind trim for these instruments. In addition, the binding on the instrument is highly flamed white fiddleback Austrian Walnut – perfectly complementing the back, sides, and soundboard. The headstock is adorned with Larrivee’s Vine headstock inlays, with upgraded JCL 18:1 tuners with black anodized aluminum buttons. Each guitar also comes with the sound hole cutout (coaster) as a little bonus!
