Description
AKG K702
The AKG K702 is an open studio headphone with circumaural ear pads. It guarantees a neutral, analytical sound image. The excellent detail resolution enables a confident assessment of the production.
The AKG K702’s special diaphragms are thicker in the centre than at the thin edge (AKG’s patented Varimotion technology). Compared to normal diaphragms, this improves the vibration characteristics and the impulse response is very accurate. The stereo image thus allows precise localisation and an absolutely natural three-dimensionality and depth. The bass tuning is linear and neutral.
The open cabinet is completely permeable to the outside. As a result, the sound image is more in line with natural listening habits. Further advantages of the open design are a better heat exchange and the possibility to perceive outside noises.
High-quality ear pads, which completely enclose the ear, ensure pleasant wearing comfort. They can also be replaced if necessary. The leather headband automatically adjusts to the head size.
The cable is equipped with a mini-XLR connector and is detachable.
