Description
These claves are rosewood. Claves traditionally are used for rhythmic patterns; they produce bright, cracking sounds to keep the beat. Both are the same size, although one is the « male » clave, to be held in a cupped hand, and one is the « female » striker, to tap against the held clave. Test to discover the difference – when the correct clave is tapped with the striker, it will produce a lower, more resonant sound.
