Instrumentation: Percussion Ensemble Quintet
Head Talk is a percussion ensemble quintet for « drums without shells ». The ensemble members sit on the floor and perform on stand drum heads for tom-toms, snare drum, and bongos. These heads do not have to be new and « used heads » are often preferred. The work also calls for Remo’s Pre-Tuned Drum Heads.
Head Talk is a popular percussion ensemble work and has been performed thousands of times throughout many countries. Drummers love this piece because it is different, challenging, easy to set up and fun!
